Wine description

Cuvee of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Sauvignon Blanc. Vintage 2014, created a wine full of charm, elegance & fruitiness as it had a long vegetation period. The full-bodied Chardonnay is fermented in barrels which gives this blend its special intensity in taste and Sauvignon Blanc gives this wine crispiness & spice.

 

Tasting notes

Aromas of exotic fruits and biscuit. Creamy with elegant acidity. Refreshing, invigorating and not too short on the palate.

Gumpoldskirchner Tradition

Wine description

A blend of the two local grape varietals Zierfandler and Rotgipfler. Both varietals have their source in Austria’s Thermenregion. We nurture this tradition and want to express the uniqueness of these two unique white wine varieties from the Thermenregion in Austria.

 

Tasting notes

Lively fruit flavour hints of mango and apricot. Vital and yet a little baroque on the palate with pleasant fruit sweetness.

Pinot Noir

Wine description

Our Pinot Noir charms through density, elegant fragrance and a lot of extract. The wine is fermented in big oak casks, aged in big old oak barrels.

Fine aroma of raspberries, blackberries. Elegant and harmonious. Soft, charming fruit, round tannins and a constant finish.

Rotgipfler

Wine description

Our Rotgipfler is a white wine. We nurture the great tradition of this regional speciality, retaining the elegance and power that is typical for the variety Rotgipfler („red shoot-apex“). Fermentation in steel tank (80%) and big old barrels (20%), afterwards 4 months on the fine yeast

Exotic fruits and banana in the nose, expressive fruit on the palate, vital acid structure, long and vibrant finish.

Wine description

 An Austrian speciality, the wines of the St. Laurent grape impress with a bouquet. This wine is aged in big oak barrels.

Zweigelt

Wine description

This wine is fermented in big oak casks, aged in old big barrels for 10 months. Grows on limestone, alluvial soil.

 

Tasting notes

Cherry fruit with spicy notes, smooth and round tannins. Very balanced, velvety soft but strong.
