The wines which make up the “Lenz Moser Prestige” selection of wines from the pinnacle of our quality pyramid. They are the best of Austria’s vineyards – and thus the figurehead, the flagship of our company. The Prestige selection of wines comprises a range of typically Austrian wines whose individuality and distinctiveness are their predominant features. The character of these grape varieties and the terroir of the individual regions of origin is reflected in these wines. Instead of uniformity, the character of the wines shines through. The diversity of Austria as a wine country offers ideal conditions for the production of these flagship wines. Already at the vineyard stage, only the highest quality grapes are selected as the quality of the wine is determined primarily in the vineyard. The grapes are handpicked at just the right stage of ripeness and immediately pressed with the utmost care. The supervision of our experienced winemaker and the use of state of the art technology ensure that only wine of the very best quality is produced. Wine description

Deep, dark red with violet shimmers. This full bodied red wine; fruity and with a lot of aroma. Has a potential of around 10-15 years.

 

Tasting notes

Intensive cherry aromas showing some soft oaky and cherry notes, powerful and rich in extract, soft tannin characterises the smooth harmonious taste, long finish.

 

Serving suggestions

Pleasant, dark meat, seasoned meat, ham, fish, pasta, pizza and blue cheese.

Drink Temp: 15-17 °C

Wine description

The red wine grapes are pressed out within short term after harvest and do not ferment on the mash, therefore you get the light pink colour. Salmon-coloured with light reflexes. Excellent fruitiness bouquet with recognisable aromas of sweet cherry.

Perfect partner to starters, Italian dishes.

Tasting notes

On the palate full fruits with soft tannins, ripe and harmonious wine, full taste of blackberry and dark currant with structure and long finish. Youthful, but well balanced Rosé with a nice freshness. Has capacity of 3-5 years.

LENZ MOSER VINOTHEK

The quality wines of this series include the crème de la crème of Lower Ausria’s varieties.


Wine description

Dark ruby red with shimmers of violet. Fruity-spicy bouquet with aromas of wild berries, on the palate full in body and tannin with an animating acidity, delicate structure.

Tasting notes

Typical aromas for a Blauer Zweigelt, a fine character, elegant red wine with soft tannins, velvety-harmonious taste. Has a potential of 3-5 years.

 

Serving suggestions

Roasted dark meat; barbecue, beef with mushroom sauce, pasta and pizza.

Wine description

Brilliant yellow with bright green reflexes. Fruity and peppery bouquet. On the palate fresh and racy type, fine spiciness. This Grüner Veltliner is uncomplicated, but an impressive white wine for many opportunities. Has potential of 3-5 years.

Blaufränkisch

LENZ MOSER STORCH

The “Storch” label wines – one of the best-known brands of wines in Austria – are pressed from Burgenland’s major grapevine varieties which benefit the most from abundant sunshine in this region.


Wine description

Dark ruby red with shimmers of violet. Lively and uncomplicated red wine. Has potential of 3-5 years.

 

Tasting notes

Fine spicy aromas of raspberries, fresh, racy and full flavours, fruity body with soft tannins.

 

Serving suggestions

Pork, (smoked) fish, soft cheese.

Wine description

Bright golden yellow. The soil and climate around the growing region of Lake Neusiedl are responsible for the growth of Botrytis cinerea which is necessary for this predicate wine. Has a potential of 3-5 years.

 

Tasting notes

Fruity taste due to the aromatic Bouvier and the Pinot-varieties. Wonderful acid to sugar balance, full-bodied and rich in extract.

 

Serving suggestions

Spicy and ripe cheese, sweet dishes and desserts.

Either as a white wine cuvée or a velvety, full-bodied red wine, this world-known brand quality wine from Burgenland stands for everyday, uncomplicated culinary pleasure.

A Cuvee of Blaufränkisch and Zweigelt. Ruby red with shimmers of violet, fresh bouquet and delicate aromas. Velvety cuvee with freshness, race and charm. Has potential of 3-5 years.

LENZ MOSER DAC

DAC (“Districtus Austriae Controllatus”) is Austrias controlled designation of origin.

Wine description

Bright yellowish-green. Harmonious wine, full-flavoured and lively, especially intensive varietal character, youthful style with well-balanced acidity.

Bouquet: Racy with spicy-peppery note. Peppery-racy taste, nice fruitiness of a fresh apple on the palate, pleasant fresh acidity.
