Gelber Muskateller Klassik

Wine description

From the various vineyards in Fels am Wagram. The soil is deep loess on terraces between 200-300 m above sea level. Harvested by hand. To emphasize the freshness and flavour, the wine is filled in bottles in January or February. Has potential of 2-3 years.

Grüner Veltliner Fresh & easy

Wine description

From various vineyards in Fels am Wagram. The soil is deep loess on terraces between 200-300 m above sea level and conglomerate gravel soils at the foot of Wagram ledge.

Tasting notes

Intense bouquet of green apples and citrus fruits, savory on the palate, stimulating fruit and acidity with apple, pear and exotic components. Uncomplicated all-rounder for the youthful drinking pleasure.

Grüner Veltliner Terrassen

Wine description

From different vineyards in Wagram. The soil is deep loess in terraces between 200-300 m above sea level and conglomerate gravel soils on the foot of Wagram ledge. The grapes are hand-picked.

Tasting notes

Ripe yellow apple fruit and fine spice on the nose, elegant flavour profile with hints of tropical fruit, piquant fruit acid with animating effect, leaving noticeable mineral notes.

Starters, antipasta, white meat.

Roter Veltliner Klassik

Wine description

From different vineyards in Fels am Wagram. The soil is deep loess on terraces between 200-300 meters above sea level. The hand-picked grapes are only lightly crushed immediately pressed and without maceration. The overnight clarified juice is fermented under controlled temperature with selected yeast. This grape is rare and it is grown only in Wagram.

Tasting notes

Special aromas plums, red apple and white flowers, juicy-sweetness-acidity interaction, ripeness with sugar melon, dried fruit and delicate orange notes, full-bodied, warm and lasting.

Roter Veltliner Scheiben

Wine description

Scheiben is a special piece of land on the hillside, facing south with about 250 meters above sea level, known for powerful, full-bodied wines. The soil is one of the most powerful loess soils of the Wagram, up to 20m depth.

Tasting notes

High noble aromas, dried pear and yellow fruit, some orange zest and mandarin. Extract and fruit sweetness and acidity perfectly by balanced, brilliant wealth, comforting consistency. Has a potential of more than 10 years. A speciality from Wagram.

Grüner Veltliner Scheiben

Wine description

The Scheiben vineyard is located at the best location, facing south 250 meters above sea level, it’s known for powerful full-bodied wines. The vines are about 50 years old and one of the oldest Veltliner of the winery. The soil is one of the most powerful loess soils of the Wagram, up to 20m depth.

Through thorough selection of the grapes from the 2 ha. Vineyard, allow the use of the very ripe grapes. The wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks and matures for 1 year in an oak cask where it’s complexity evolves. Has potential of up to 10 years.

Tasting notes

On the nose dried apples and juicy pears, orange zest and melon. On the palate, delicate honey tones, fine acidity.  Rich in facets, full, warm and extract rich.

Grüner Veltliner Schafflerberg

Wine description

Schafflerberg is one of the most elevated best wine growing area in Fels am Wagram 300 m above sea level, facing south behind it an underlying plateau. Deep loess soil with high lime content.

The grapes are harvested as late as possible, so that they can be very aromatic. Longer maceration increases primary fruit components. One of the few single vineyard wines that spends the entire time on the lees, after fermentation.

Tasting notes

Fragrant aromas, fresh apple with hints of stone fruit, delicate but tropical fruit and meadow herbs and a nice mineral core. Classic, bone-dry Veltliner.
